FLCosmetologyPrep is a study resource for cosmetology students finishing their hours and career-changers heading toward a Florida license. It's for the person who can already cut, color, and style with confidence but now has to prove it on a written state board exam — the last gate between school and a chair of their own.
Why we built FLCosmetologyPrep
The Florida exam trips up strong stylists for one reason: it's written, not practical. You can be brilliant with shears and foils and still stumble on the Theory and Clinical questions that decide the result. Sanitation and infection control, bloodborne pathogens and HIV/AIDS, and the science behind chemical services carry real weight, and the state's Florida laws & rules questions cover material no amount of salon-floor practice teaches. We wrote 352 practice questions across all 10 content areas, each with a plain-English explanation, so the theory sticks when the exam rewords it and you clear the 75% bar on both parts.
How we keep it current
Cosmetology licensing in Florida changes over time. The Board of Cosmetology sets the standard under Chapter 477, Florida Statutes, and Rule 61G5, and training-hour requirements, the mandatory HIV/AIDS course, renewal rules, and prohibited-acts provisions all get revised through the DBPR. We review our question bank against the current exam content outline and the underlying rules, and update items and explanations when those requirements move — so what you practice reflects what the state tests today. Always verify current requirements with the DBPR before you apply.

About our questions
Our practice questions are written in-house by Hilogistic, Corp to cover the same content areas and reference materials tested on the Florida Cosmetology Examination. They are original items designed to build real understanding — not copied or leaked exam questions. We review and update them as the state's requirements and reference materials change.
